Friday Art Group

The Friday Afternoon Art Group. Friday afternoons 14.00 – 16.00. in the Small Hall.

We are a small Art Group of mixed abilities who meet regularly to draw and paint for pleasure. Our members work in a variety of media – Watercolour, Pastel, Pencil (Graphite or Colour), Acrylic and Oils (which are not as scary as you might think), but we do draw a line at Sculpture.

The group started years ago by Independent Arts, continued by a professional artist and art tutor (Mark Langdale) until his move to the Isle of Skye. Following his departure we reconstituted ourselves as a self-run, self-help group.

We are a friendly and welcoming Group, and don’t take ourselves too seriously, but are ready to learn and pass on tips and techniques.

We also have tea and biscuits, frequently cake, about half way during the session.
